Say hello to Shelby the Porcupine, first seen as an instalment of TOFT's Dye Club crochet subscription. Inspired by the contrasting black and white spikes of the prehensile-tailed porcupine (there are in fact 12 species of porcupine!) which is native to South America, this pattern uses some interesting crochet techniques including holding two strands of yarn together. Thankfully, Kerry Lord's version of this porcupine is a lot more cuddly than his real-life counterparts!

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Porcupine will be approximately 28cm tall from feet to top of head.
SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.
