As yarn lovers first and foremost, Team TOFT are over the moon to be welcoming the established Erika Knight to TOFT HQ to launch her brand new yarn: Wild Wool. Erika’s new fibre will also be the first instalment in our new Guest Yarn Series - we’ll be stocking yarn produced by both popular and up and coming individuals in the industry here at TOFT HQ and online for three months at a time.
Erika Knight is a very talented knitting and crochet designer with several best selling books and separate pattern publications under her belt, as well as an expansive independent range of yarn developed over the past 6 years. Erika’s new Wild Wool Aran weight yarn is an unusual and interesting blend of wool and natural nettles! A plant fond of rainy habitats, nettle grows enthusiastically making it both a sustainable product and eco-friendly as there’s no need for chemical fertilisers or pesticides. We cannot wait to hear first hand more about Erika’s design process, and the lessons she’s learnt as her career has developed during her talk.
Tickets are now sold out for this exciting event, but don’t forget we host HQ Hangout here at TOFT Studio every other Thursday evening (you can find the dates on our Opening Hours page here) and it’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded crafty people, relax with a cappuccino and slice of delicious cake whilst getting a few rounds in and chat to the TOFT team whether you’re looking for inspiration for your next project, or you’re just not quite sure how to get your amigururmi animals looking their best.
