FREE Pattern Download

This weekend* download a FREE pattern pdf for all four glorious new TOFT chameleons and a timeline of the 20 years in business they represent. From the homegrown alpaca of the early years through to the embroidered intricacy and technical detail of the last five, travel through TOFT history with these new designs, also available as crochet kits. Kerry the Pygmy Chameleon is crocheted using TOFT's Homegrown Alpaca yarn so stock is very limited.

 

Homegrown Pygmy Chameleon *update* sold out A very special limited edition kit of an Edward’s Menagerie favourite - Kerry the Chameleon - complete with a knitted cable hat to symbolise the first five years of TOFT history. This is a rare chance to get your hands on 100g of a micro batch of 'Stone' homegrown 100% alpaca yarn from the fleeces of the TOFT herd. Grazing the fields around our HQ, this exclusive and very limited batch yarn is made from blending together only the finest baby alpaca fleeces to celebrate our 20th birthday.	Albert the Parson's Chameleon Designed by Kerry to symbolise 2011-2015 in TOFT company history, in this period Kerry picks up a crochet hook for the first time and Edward’s Menagerie is created and published along with the first pure wool and dyed TOFT yarn. Albert the Parson’s Chameleon is a fun take on the original Kerry the Chameleon pattern with the addition of a spine of Pink spikes.
Marita the Panther Chameleon Designed by Kerry to symbolise 2016-2020 in TOFT company history, a period filled with colour as handdyed yarns are made, six more bright gem colours are introduced and Alexandra’s Garden begins to bloom. Marita the Panther Chameleon is a bold geometric pattern combining demanding colourwork and the advanced techniques of short row shaping and invisible rows to create a spiralling tail. Officially our first ever Level 4 pattern - this one will be a challenge for your hook and we can’t wait to see it in lots of different colour combinations in the future.	Verso the Jackson's Chameleon Designed by Kerry to symbolise 2021-2025 in TOFT company history, a period exploring myth, magic and stories. Verso the Jackson’s Chameleon uses shaping techniques to have a spiralled tail and jointed legs, and is decorated with embroidery as a nod to the crafts explored by TOFT in this latest period. Although based on a real horned chameleon species, this design looks like she walked straight out of a fairy tale and invites you to follow her as we turn the page into the next TOFT chapter.

Hand Dyed Yarn

Treat yourself to 100g DK limited edition 20 years yarn to celebrate the original Kerry the Chameleon pattern that inspired TOFT to handdye the first ever skeins back in 2016 for our 10th birthday. Handpainted in stripes of turquoise, green and pink that speckle as you work your rounds, whether you are hooking up a chameleon or saving the skein for something special to wear. You will receive a free .pdf pattern for Kerry the Chameleon, or use your yarn with the pattern of your choice.

TOFT's first Yarn Bowl

TOFT has teamed up with Little Wren Pottery to bring you our first ever yarn bowls. Created to be the perfect size for our 25g DK balls with a cutout to run your yarn through, once you start crocheting or knitting using one of these bowls you’ll never go back. Keep your yarn clean and tangle free as you work, allowing a steady and even flow to help maintain even tension. This first limited edition batch of 100 ‘Latte’ bowls nod to the history of the TOFT Coffee Shop as we celebrate our 20th Birthday. Handcrafted in Northallerton, North Yorkshire from white Devonshire stoneware clay. Each yarn bowl takes up to a month to be made in its process from being thrown on the wheel to biscuit firing, glazing and re-firing.

Celebrating 20 years of TOFT, these limited edition project bags are printed in celebration of all the TOFT crochet design collections. Pack up your latest TOFT WIP inside and take it on the go with a comfortable capacity for up to 200g of TOFT yarn, a postcard pattern and crochet hook or circular knitting needles. There's also a chance to get your hands on 100g of exclusive hand-blended 100% homegrown TOFT alpaca! We've packed some of these new project bags are packed with two different 50g balls of undyed hand-blended DK yarn. It’s a chance to stash a proper piece of TOFT history as these balls are all unique, blending across multiple natural colours from the TOFT HQ herd of alpacas. More unique than even a handdyed yarn , no two balls are the same with some spun as an ombre from a light to dark shade, and others plying two contrasting shades together to create a marl.

With its new sophisticated shape, high contrast detail and optional detachable cross-body strap, this canvas tote is not only perfect for keeping your TOFT yarn stash safe, but is also the ideal place to display your collectable TOFT patches and pins.
