TOFT Eco-packaging

Here at TOFT, we take our responsibility to protect the environment seriously. Since TOFT began in 2006, we’ve spent a lot of time trying to find ways to reduce our impact on the natural world. Reducing the amount of plastic in our packaging is something we’ve wanted to do for quite a while, but it’s been a challenge to make sure that the integrity, design and cost of our kits aren’t compromised, whilst also creating something that’s recyclable and biodegradable. After experimenting with many different types of materials, designs, shapes, and sizes, we finally arrived at the final design.

Our new packaging uses a type of cardboard that’s free from synthetic coating, which means that it’s 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The new box design is sturdy enough to withstand even the most heavy-handed couriers, whilst also looking modern and attractive. With our new packaging, we now include even more information on the packaging, including the name of the kit, images and details of its contents. Also included on the front of the packaging is a bright cutout picture of the finished Ed’s Animal, along with the level sticker to indicate the difficulty of the crochet project contained inside.

Top Tip: Eco boxes are a great way to store your favourite TOFT Collectible postcards.

Once finished with your new TOFT project, our new eco boxes can be fully recycled. We’ve also taken into account that some boxes may get mislaid or find their way into the general waste. To deal with this we’ve eliminated the need for plastic within our packaging and our new eco boxes will breakdown fully in only a few months.

We hope you enjoy the brand-new packaging and are pleased with our new environmentally friendly design. We’ve been looking forward to introducing these to you for a while and we hope this goes some way to improve your experience of buying from TOFT.
