This year, the festivities and excitement needn’t end on Christmas Day! For the first time ever, we here at TOFT would like to present to you the 2020 Twixmas CAL. After receiving such wonderful feedback from the TOFT community on last years Ed’s Advent project, Estella the Clockwork nightingale bird, we’ve created the Twixmas CAL. This new surprise CAL is based on the ‘Edward’s Menagerie: Birds’ book and is a light-hearted event which will run from Boxing Day until January 1st. Designed to fill the void between Christmas and New Year, this new CAL is a perfect opportunity to keep your hands busy whilst letting your Christmas dinner go down.
The 6 ball bundle of specially selected yarn will arrive at your door in early December, ready for the fun to start on Boxing Day. The yarn will consist of different colours from the TOFT range and have been chosen to create a wonderful and exclusive new bird project. On Boxing Day, the full pattern for your new bird will be uploaded to your MyTOFT area online, ready for everyone to start crocheting in bite-sized chunks. The pattern is designed to be crocheted together with the online TOFT community during the days between Christmas and New Year. TOFT will also be running daily Instagram live events for CAL members to ask any questions you may have about the exclusive project. Of course, if you’re eager to complete your project, you can do so in one sitting (although, we’d love to complete it with you and share our progress).
The brand-new and exclusive pattern, designed by best-selling author Kerry Lord, will remain a complete secret until it’s released and the crocheting begins. Not available outside of the Twixmas CAL, the only thing we know about the new project is that it’s a bird and... well that’s all we know!
