TOFT Amethyst DK Yarn

With the release of Ruby last month, and the fantastic reception it received, we’re excited to announce TOFT’s latest colour…Amethyst.

The name is taken from the purple variety of quartz crystal which closely resembles the colouring of our latest premium yarn. Not only is Amethyst the February birth stone, the ancient Greeks believed that the crystal protected drunkenness, with amethyst translating to mean “no intoxication”. Our Amethyst wool may not prevent you from feeling the effects of your favourite tipple, but it does make a fantastic yarn to use with your future TOFT projects.

With the same quality and durability you’ve come to expect from TOFT yarn, Amethyst has been made from 100% British wool, expertly milled in Yorkshire before being delivered to our Warwickshire HQ. Kerry and the team here at TOFT have been putting Amethyst through its paces and creating brand new projects to make the most of our brand new colour.

The new Amethyst yarn brings with it a whole host of possibilities when it comes to being creative, and we can’t wait to see what the TOFT community has in store for our latest yarn. Below you’ll find images of projects already utilising Amethyst
