The TOFT team are extremely excited to be able to offer our new natural alternative premium toy stuffing: 100% unbleached and undyed British wool. Available in both Light and Dark, this natural wool toy stuffing is ideal for stuffing crochet toys and using in other craft projects.
This stuffing is a natural, sustainable, biodegradable product, and is also presented in a cotton drawstring tote bag. Each bag contains approximately 150g, which is a plentiful amount to stuff 5 standard DK animals, or 1 large (Aran) sized animal. For a giant (chunky) animal you’ll need 2 bags.
Our light coloured stuffing is a great sustainable alternative to polyester toy stuffing, and is primarily cream fibres sourced from Texel Sheep. These beautiful sheep are of a stocky build and produce a quality wool that’s perfect for stuffing your Edward’s Menagerie projects.
Our dark wool option is perfect for stuffing toys that have been crocheted in darker yarns, as it means that the stuffing won’t be visible through your stitches, and is largely sourced from Black Welsh Sheep.
To coincide with launching this dark stuffing, Kerry Lord has introduced Andras the Black Welsh Mountain Sheep to Edward’s Menagerie, who is just the project to try out our new dark stuffing with, and an adorable addition to the rising number of sheep in the Ed's Animals collection.
