This year TOFT returned to Edinburgh to celebrate the UK’s biggest yarn festival.

Based on the Edinburgh Yarn Festival Logo, this year we were proud to introduce Limited Edition Dougal the EYF Ram featuring specially designed rainbow hand-dyed yarn. Available in DK, Aran and Chunky, our flock of hundreds quickly dwindled down to a small holding as they flew off of the shelves of our stall in the Marquee.

We also launched the introduction of last year’s EYF exclusive, Morag the Highland Coo, into our standard collection of Ed’s Animals, which is now available to purchase as a project or complete kit on our website and at HQ.

Extra-large Morag joined Team TOFT for the second year but this time with company in the form of extra-large Dougal. The making of Dougal is featured on Kerry Lord’s Instagram page in the stories section and drew quite an audience in the build-up to the festival.

You could also strike a pose with Chunky Dougal and Morag in the TOFT sponsored Photobooth. If you had a chance to take some snaps at the photobooth you can go to the Edinburgh Yarn Festival website to find your pictures!

The EYF special knit pattern this year was the Portobello Hat, which was available as a free pattern to visitors of the show, and the team provided a great gallery of the possible combinations throughout the weekend with their variety of neutral and bright colours in TOFT DK yarns and alpaca pom poms.

We had a great weekend, and we hope you did too!
