Introduction

This statement is made voluntarily by TOFT Ltd. for the financial year 2026. We are a small business operating in Warwickshire with 12 employees. While we fall below the £36 million turnover threshold requiring a mandatory statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Our business activities include creating and producing knitting and crochet kits. Our supply chains are short and low-risk, primarily involving UK based mills for wool and recycled stuffing manufacture, UK based factories for cardboard manufacture and printing. A smaller selection of products is sourced from overseas where UK manufactures are unavailable including wool needles and crochet hooks which we source directly from the factories making them. 

Our Policies

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and human rights abuses. All staff have undergone training to raise awareness and understanding of when/how they should raise any concerns. Our internal policies, including our employment and recruitment processes, ensure that all staff are treated fairly, we are a certified real living wage employer, and have a safe working environment.

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment

Because we use a small, vetted group of predominantly UK-based suppliers, we assess our risk of modern slavery as very low. We review our supplier relationships periodically and expect our partners to uphold high ethical standards.

This statement has been approved by the director of TOFT Ltd. and is reviewed annually.
