Wilhelm the Sabre-Toothed Tiger joined the menagerie as part of TOFT's Conservationists crochet subscription, and the first animal Kerry Lord designed with big cat 'paws'. Because only bones have been discovered, it is not known whether the fur was a singular colour or consisted of similar markings to the true cats of today, so you can also choose how to customise your sabre-toothed tiger's markings to suit how you believe they would have looked.
The Sabre-toothed tiger is one of the most iconic animals from the ice age period. This fierce hunter possessed a pair of distinctive oversized canine teeth that could reach up to 20cm long, and there are many well-preserved fossils that we can see on display in museums across the world today.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Sabre-Toothed Tiger will be approximately 27cm from feet to top of head.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.
