Fitzroy the Pink Land Iguana first appeared in the menagerie as an instalment of TOFT's Conservationists crochet subscription, using an interesting technique where the distinctive stripes are crocheted separately and sewn onto the body.
A critically endangered species, there are less than 200 Pink Land Iguanas remaining that can only be found on the slopes of one volcano in the Galápagos Islands. Their pink colouration is due to a lack of pigment in their skin, which allows you to see the blood vessels underneath.
TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Pink Land Iguana will be approximately 49cm long from front of head to end of tail.
