Say hello to Jose the Mountain Stoat, who comes wearing his summer and winter coat in this adorable colour-changing TOFT wool bundle!

Also known as a short-tailed weasel or ermine, the stoat is a highly adaptable species that can be found all over the world particularly in snowy alpine areas such as Canada and Alaska. The most distinctive feature of the stoat is the way its coat dramatically changes colour, from a reddish-brown (crocheted in TOFT's 'Fudge') during the summer to a snow-white (TOFT's 'Cream') in the winter in order to blend into their environment.

TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. THIS CROCHET KIT CONTAINS: 200g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool yarn in the following colours and yarn for facial features. The yarn included makes two stoats, one with its Summer coat (made in Fudge) and one with its Winter coat (made in Cream).

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Mountain Stoat will be approximately 20cm tall when sitting.

SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 1-5 hours crochet time per animal.
