First appearing in TOFT Quarterly Magazine's Summer 2018 issue, Olivia the Seal was one of the first animals that Kerry Lord designed outside of the Edward's Menagerie standard form. This crochet pattern makes use of splitting rounds, which is perfect for adding an extra technique to your skillset while you enjoy your project.
Seals are known as 'dogs of the sea', although they aren't related to canines, due to their curious, sociable and playful nature. They are able to sleep both on land and in the water (where everything but their snout remains underwater), and some species can hold their breath for up to two hours.
TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. Share your progress with the TOFT community on Instagram @toft_uk using the #edsanimals hashtag.
