Small Morag the Highland Coo

£25.00
Morag the Highland Coo has risen to fame as one of TOFT's favourite members of the menagerie since her debut at Edinburgh Yarn Festival in 2018. This shaggy 'coo' is one of the most loved designs to date and continues to bring joy to TOFT lovers all over the world, and now we've created her in miniature form with our FINE yarn!

Highland cows (known locally to Scots as 'coos') are the oldest cattle breed in the world, originating from the Highlands and the Western Isles of Scotland. They were originally black, but the Victorians selectively bred them to become the standard 'ginger' colour we all recognise and love today – captured perfectly by TOFT's Camel shade. Depending on the breeder, you can see Highland cows in the whole natural spectrum of colours or, like us, you can make one in every colour!

This cute crochet animal project forms part of our Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet animal project contains our luxurious pure wool FINE yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern.

THIS KIT CONTAINS: 100g of TOFT's luxury FINE pure wool in the colours of your choice.
Shown here using:
Main colour: 50g Camel
Contrast colour: 50g Oatmeal

The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your small Highland Cow you will need a few added extras including a 2mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, Black yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your small Highland Coo will be approximately 19cm tall when sitting.

SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience. Please be aware that working with our Fine weight of yarn and a smaller hook can be a bit more challenging due to the size of the stitches.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 5-10 hours crochet time.
