Bastian the Hummingbird

Fluttering into the menagerie is Bastian the Hummingbird, a tribute to the bird family that contains more than 350 different species! Named after the sound their wings make when hovering or in flight, these iconic birds can flap their wings up to eighty times per second and come in a range of shapes, sizes and colours. We hope you'll have as much fun choosing what colours to make this hummingbird in as we did.

This cute crochet animal project forms part of our Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet animal kit contains our luxurious pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.

THIS KIT CONTAINS: 100g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool in the colours of your choice.

The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your Hummingbird you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, Black yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your bird will be approximately 22cm tall from feet to top of head.

SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 1-5 hours crochet time.
