First appearing in Kerry Lord's Edward's Menagerie: Birds book in 2015, Petra the Rockhopper Penguin is one of the first members of TOFT's flock of crochet birds and a firm favourite. You'll enjoy working slip stitch chains onto her head to create the iconic crest of spiky yellow feathers, and she's guaranteed to bring personality to your crochet display or toy collection.

This cute crochet project forms part of our Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet animal kit contains our luxurious pure wool DK yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.

THIS KIT CONTAINS: 125g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool in the colours of your choice.

The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your Rockhopper Penguin you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, Black yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Penguin will be approximately 18cm tall from feet to top of head.

SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 1-5 hours crochet time.
