TOFT are very proud to present a 15th Birthday collection, brought together by revisiting and perfecting our most iconic and favourite designs from the last decade and a half. These patterns helped shape TOFT into the company it is today, each one causing a twist and turn on our path to 2021. These patterns follow our journey from the very early ready-to-wear collections through to the first creation of Edward’s Menagerie and to a brand new pattern that celebrates this year and the future.
The Tulley Headband is stylish, comfy and a must have knit project from TOFT’s fashion-led range of knitted accessories. You will have first seen this design in 2008.
“I wore one of these headbands (I think I had one in every TOFT colour) nearly every day from 2008 until 2012! Those were the years when I was at an event every weekend, living from a suitcase and jumping between camping at county fairs to B&Bs, and if I really fancied treating myself the occasional budget hotel. It was always the perfect thing to throw onto my head to disguise my hair! These were the first ‘cable’ stitches I ever made and I distinctly remember taking the pattern to one of my most experienced hand knitters and her pointing out that is was a lovely cable, but what was I going to put it on? It very much summarises my approach to design, where if there’s an option to I’ll always keep it as streamlined as possible to really show off the beauty of the yarn.”

YOU WILL NEED: To complete TOFT’s Tulley Headband pattern you will need a few added extras, including a 5mm circular knitting needle, cable needle and a wool needle. Go to our recommended section below to get direct links to these products.
MEASUREMENTS: When finished and lying flat, approximately 7 X 45cm, after blocking and before joining.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This pattern is suitable for those with crochet experience.
IT WILL TAKE: Approx. 1-5 hrs knit time.
