TOFT are very proud to present a 15th Birthday collection, brought together by revisiting and perfecting our most iconic and favourite designs from the last decade and a half. These patterns helped shape TOFT into the company it is today, each one causing a twist and turn on our path to 2021. These patterns follow our journey from the very early ready-to-wear collections through to the first creation of Edward’s Menagerie and to a brand new pattern that celebrates this year and the future.

The Nashira Shawl was one of the first ever TOFT shawl patterns to adorn our hooks here at HQ in 2012 and is a must have crochet project from TOFT’s fashion-led range of crochet accessories.

“The first ever TOFT shawl pattern, and one that can be made equally beautifully in our DK and Fine weights (the latter with 100g and 2mm hook). Originally designed for a very limited edition batch of Fine alpaca yarn, this was one of the last designs in alpaca that was quickly remade in our brand new DK and so also became one of the first designs in our wool in 2014. The triangular scarf shape has proven very popular with makers over the years, I think in part due to the extra interest created when working the stitches not in a simple rectangle.”

A fantastic choice for an enthusiastic beginner looking to expand their crochet techniques, the Nashira Shawl is made using TOFT's pure wool range of seriously luxurious yarn spun in Yorkshire from the finest fleeces. Our pure wool yarns are versatile and can be used for most knitting and crochet patterns creating wonderful garments for adults and children, and a full range of accessories.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete TOFT’s Nashira Shawl pattern you will need a few added extras, including a 4mm crochet hook and a wool needle. Go to our recommended section below to get direct links to these products.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished approximately 210 X 48cm when flat after blocking.

SKILL LEVEL 2 : This pattern is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have done crochet before.
