Charles Darwin Doll

Charles Darwin was a British naturalist and author of On the Origin of Species, which contained his theory of evolution by natural selection. Designed by Kerry Lord for a crochet workshop at the Natural History Museum in 2023, this is the same pattern and yarn used for the workshop and includes the pattern for Darwin's octopus, complete with the embroidery thread and glass jar!

THIS CROCHET KIT CONTAINS: 225g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool yarn in the following colours,

The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet Charles Darwin Doll you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, a 1.75mm or 2mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your doll will be approximately 32cm tall from feet to top of head.

SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 15-20 hours crochet time.
