Best known for its prickly foliage and vibrant flowers, the Thistle is the national symbol of Scotland and plays an important role in legend and folklore. It stands for bravery, luck and strength there, while the French would plant thistles to protect themselves from witchcraft. To the Victorians, giving a thistle was meant as a warning against intrusion. Whatever the occasion, you can be sure that this crochet version is much more cuddly than its floral counterpart, and it will remain bright and beautiful throughout the seasons.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your Mini Thistle Monster you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, Black and Cream yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.

MEASUREMENTS: Approximately 20cm from feet to top of flower.

SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.
