Meet Tristan the Patchwork Armadillo, created as part of our Winter 2025 collection that was inspired by the shapes and patterns in quilting and patchwork. Complete with fully adjustable plates, you can choose to sit him confidently on your shelf or if he's feeling a little shy he can curl up inside his armour for extra protection.
Armadillos are closely related to sloths and anteaters, taking their name from the Spanish word which means 'little armoured one' – and they are the only living mammal that possess such 'shells'.

The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.
YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Patchwork Armadillo will be approximately 27cm tall from feet to top of head.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 10-15 hours crochet time.
