Maya the Sawfish is swimming into Kerry Lord's crochet marine menagerie. With her unique long and narrow nose extension, lined with transverse teeth that are arranged in a way that resembles a saw, this sawfish is one of the quirkiest patterns yet! Did you know that sawfish are also known as carpenter sharks and are part of the ray family? They are one of the largest fish species in the sea, but this crochet counterpart is small enough to hold in one hand.

This fun crochet sea life project forms part of TOFT's Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet fish kit contains our luxurious pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your sawfish you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, Black yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your sawfish will be approximately 37cm long from front to end of tail.

SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 5-10 hours crochet time.
