Archer the Major Mitchell's Cockatoo

£43.00
Soaring into the menagerie is Archer the Major Mitchell's Cockatoo! Regarded as one of the most beautiful of its species, this Australian bird is named after Major Sir Thomas Mitchell, an explorer from the 1800s who surveyed Southeast Australia. The soft white and pink feathers and bright yellow and red crest are reflected delightfully in a combination of TOFT's bright and pastel shades, making this cockatoo a joy to crochet from first to last stitch.

Archer's debut comes with the launch of TOFT's new Modelling Wire, the ideal tool to help your crochet bird stand and pose perfectly. You will need approximately 1 metre of modelling wire to add to your bird's wings and legs, and once inserted you can style your bird as often as you like – whether you'd like him to be sitting on your shoulder, perching on a shelf or standing proudly in your Edward's Menagerie display.

This cute crochet bird project forms part of our Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet bird kit contains our luxurious pure wool DK yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.

THIS KIT CONTAINS: 175g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool in the colours of your choice and an optional length of modelling wire.
