Introducing #edsbestnest 2025
Your nest is a place of comfort and rest, somewhere you can retreat to for a reset, some time to yourself and to charge your batteries. Although obviously associated with birds, as crocheters lots of us will likely have a nest at home, a comfy corner somewhere that you tuck into to enjoy making stitches.
This year’s summer competition has a creative twist. To order your fledgling Phoenix kit you need to choose your favourite TOFT colour to become your 'main colour', your favourite TOFT natural for the beak and legs, and then let us surprise you with the third shade to compliment (or contrast!) to your choices. If you are not a fan of surprises you can of course always add a third choice to the order notes, but we hope that you’ll enjoy the fun of opening up the mystery egg box, and for some it will push you to fly the creative nest out of your colour comfort zone!
THIS CROCHET KIT CONTAINS: 75g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool yarn, mini safety eyes, mystery egg box and Summer Competition guidelines.

The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.
YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet bird you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your baby phoenix will be 12cm tall from feet to top of head.

IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 1-5 hours crochet time.

*Colours will be actively chosen by the TOFT team rather than randomly allocated to ensure complimentary or contrasting combinations and no duplicated colours.
*Please understand that if you have a particular colour scheme in mind then you should request this colour in notes when you order (or at least hint that purple is a no-go for you!).
This Summer we invite you to crochet Bert the fledgling Phoenix, give him as many or few feathers as you fancy and photograph him in a ‘nest’. That nest can be as literal or abstract as you like, from crafting a circle of twigs to photographing the little birds in the comfiest corner of your sofa where you like to sit and crochet. Snap a photo (or video) of your ‘best nest’ and share it with us on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok by tagging @toft_uk in the photo or reel and using the hashtag #edsbestnest for a chance to win 1 of 5 TOFT goodie bags worth over £200 each.)
